It’s been a very eventful couple of weeks!  Got a few kills, got killed a few, got podded due to lag…meh, decided to play in WH space, put up a POS, etc, etc…

I actually started this post sometime early last week, but between working, catching up on a few hundred google reader posts, and actually playing EVE I’ve neglected actually finishing it a bit, as a result…there will be more information than was planned! Hooray!!!

———-

The War with the Deadspace Society is still going strong, though I have a few opinions of it, and how most of our corp is handling it.

We started off the war with getting a few more kills than we were getting killed, which was good.  I personally got in on a few kills myself, and died twice.  That last kill there was a pretty fun one for us.  We had been chased (and being chased by) a gang of about 7-8 War Targets, and took one jump into lowsec to head to another area of highsec.  Sadly for Slumpert he was the only one of his gang that decided to follow us into that lowsec system…which ended in his destruction.  I hope he said thanks to his mates!

The Typhoon kill was a nice addition as well.  It started with Akquar playing station games with us, not having enough of us to to much about as we couldn’t break his tank before his agression timer ended and he docked up a few times.  Finally, much to his surprise backup arrived and he last attempt to play with us resulted in him going pop.  For some reason (possibly lag?) he sat their in his pod so I pointed him.  Sadly I wasn’t paying attention and clicked on another ship rather than his pod to approach and ended up getting out of range so Zav and Lars helped me crack his pod open.  Yes, his corpse is sitting in my hangar now…no…I won’t tell you what I do with it at night.

My two deaths were no where near as fun.  First one was simply me being the weakest person in the gang I was in so I got primaried pretty quickly I assume.  Second one happened due to my own error.  We were forming up to mess with a WT gate camp and everyone was aligned to the gate.  FC said “Warp…” (so I hit warp) “…to Planet X” (this is where I learned to let the FC finish talking before hitting warp).  So I end up at the gate and play jumping game with them a few times.  I think it was the 4th jump where I couldn’t burn back to the gate fast enough and got squished.

———-

My alt got podded, that was annoying.  I was in Rens I think selling my lastest haul of sleeper stuff, and making a few runs with a few loads of Arkanor I had to unload.  After 4 trips, I undocked from the station to find a WT in a hurricane sitting out front, I quickly docked back up in my Bestower to purchase a Shuttle to mess with him in.  My plan was to head out, warp to a planet (which I did well) then warp in and out to annoy him while he couldn’t lock me each time.

Well, where it went wrong was the first time I warped back in…I lagged.  My screen updated just in time to see my shuttle go boom, while I was spamming dock the whole time…then more lag.  Next thing, I wake up in some station in Amarr space in my clone.  There goes that full set of +4s.  I hopped in a shuttle and flew back to Rens, logged out, and logged back in a few hours later to successfully get my hauler out and back to the wormhole.

I put in a petition to see if I could get reimbursed, since I was dumb and forgot to check and make sure my clone was upgraded (which…it wasn’t…figures…only 3 days of training to get back the skill I lost though, so wasn’t too bad).  As always, the logs showed nothing.

———-

I mentioned it earlier, but in case you missed it, I’ve been spending most of the war in a Wormhole system goofing around.  I didn’t actually come in here to avoid the war, it just happened to work out that way…I’m hiding in the Shadows like a good Ninja!

When I first came in it was simply for a quick run with an Alliance Mate (we have an official alliance wh corp that has a pos in this same system).  But it ended up with me staying for a bit, getting annoyed that I couldn’t use the ship maintenance array to store my ships (alliance mates can put them in, but only members of the wh corp can get them out for us…no thanks).  So, the next day I thought about putting up my own POS to base out of.

When the static highsec exit opened up 3 jumps from Jita I took it as a sign from all those Ninjas that have passed before me.  So, 9 trips of 6 jumps each later with my fully decked out and rigged Bestower Alt of Doom I had a medium POS setup in a class 1 wormhole system.  Overkill? Yes!  Fun? Yes! So it worked out well for me.

After a week though, I think I want to find myself a Class 2 wormhole to get to while I work on my skills.

My POSs Overkill Setup

Now, for the part that had to deal with the title of this post.  My plan for my next WH move is to put up a large faction tower with a little bit of everything that I can online/offline when I need certain services.  I know it’ll be overkill…but…I like to do things over the top.  So, in good Ninjas fashion…I need someone to send me 2,600,000,000 isk so I can buy all the stuff.  If you don’t have that much, I’ll accept much less, please just send Donations to Cyberin.

(please also note, the above paragraph is not serious…unless of course, you want to donate :D lol)

———-

Where does the future lead?

I’m not sure yet.  I enjoy being with the Ninjas, making new friends, and getting my loots from other people.  But I’m also have a blast in my Wormhole, while also having thoughts of Faction Warfare.  I thought I had finally made up my mind with what I want to do when I joined the Ninjas…but apparently, my mind was playing tricks on me since I’m still unsure of exactly what I want to do.  I think in the end it’s all just going to come down to me doing whatever I feel like doing, whenever I feel like doing it.  I guess only time will tell.

Growth and Expansion

Comments inside

The alliance currently has 4 corps and almost 100 members. We have several pilots that have the standing with the Ammatar Fleet who can access the more important and well connected level 5 agents.

In our attempts to stay a empire based alliance we have faced some difficulties in making use of the resources our size allows us to gather. The cost of purchasing high end minerals for large ship production was reaching extortionate levels. In order to cut down on the waste, we have taken a small number of members to null sec to farm for high end minerals.

We continue to look for like minded corporations and individuals.

War is here…kinda

So, after a while of all us Ninjas begging our ‘customers’ to make good on their idle threats of war decs, someone finally ponied up the 50mil ISK per week and did it.  The Deadspace Society, the Alliance of some of the people we relieved of ships on our last Field Trip (in my last post…the hurricane people) decided that they would seek justice and slay us offenders!

You can check out the results of the war so far at the TEARS Killboard.  Nothing dramatic…some losses, some kills…technically we are ahead in isk killed at the moment…but it’s not about that for us anyway…the tears are what we are after.  And we’ve had a bit so far.  Killed at least one of their miners (mining during a war dec? lol), but most of their people seem to stay docked up…mostly newer players it seems.

I can’t really say much about it because I haven’t helped in any of the fights yet, I’ve just been chilling in Dodixie continuing business as normal since they apparently don’t want to bring the fight to our home system.  I’ll try and head out to help with some fighting in the next few days.

All in all they seem like a failbear alliance with a few pvp people in it…from what it seems like to me, the war isn’t really that popular with their mostly carebear members…we shall see how long it lasts!

A New Alliance is Formed.

News update:
The alliance creation of “Hardcore.” has been approved by Concord. Along with the holding corporation and my small logistical secondary corporation I own, I have created a primary pilot corporation “Hardcore Industries” that I will recruiting members in to.

In other news:
I was able to recruit my brother in to helping get us get some helpful standings with the Ammatar Mandate. In less then a week, we should have the proper approval to launch a high sec research station up. When it is up we will make it’s laboratories available for all alliance corporations.

The beginnings of an alliance (day 7)

Comments inside

Well, after sending eve-mails to all the PvP corps that had offices and only about 1/4 responded with a convo or eve mail. Some decided to take the idea to their corp but i have not heard back. Some CEOs claiming to know the region better are saying the region isn’t well suited for piracy, witch wasn’t to be the end all be all of the alliance. That made me realize how hard it was to get my plans and ideas across in an eve mail.  Others were being picky about other corps i had asked and others that had already committed. I had no idea how um.. annoying, suborn, short sited, and dense people can be. So, at this point i have no solid commitments and a good 24 or more hours wasted.

In the mean time Mark has finished training empire control and has started training Sovereignty. Not giving up at this point, i think ill form the alliance and ill post a thread. I would really like to get one good size PvP corp on-board before then.

The beginnings of an alliance (Day 2).

Well i made it to the second day and i haven’t quit yet lol.

I spend about 3 hours last night looking over the area some more and noticed the traffic is not as busy at the late late US to early EU time zone, but that’s to be expected. I sent some eve mails to corp CEOs that had offices in the area and appeared to be active pirate corps with at least 20 or so members. Ill be posting the questions they have for me in the new Q & A page i put up.

Also found some time now that i am not in 0.0 to create a map that will show the area that we will be living. Thought it would be an easy way to show some of the benefits.

Well its the end of day 2 and i have covered all but 7 station systems in Derelik and Molden Heath regions and eve mailed about 25 ceo’s.  Corps ranging from 18 to 144 members, some with nullsec interests and some purely low sec. Some have already gotten back to me with questions and some have yet to respond. Ill complete the last seven stations tomorrow and go through the process of getting a forum post up as well.

Mark's Mug

I have been a pod pilot for the last 28 months. I have been in several alliances and I have wanted to start my own for a while now. Recently doing some low sec pirating I got the taste once again,  so I am looking to start a low sec/nullsec PvP alliance. That is where Mark here comes in. He has been born and bred specifically to start an alliance and he is six days from having the necessary skills.

With 1.5 Billion of hard earned isk transferred into his pocket, we started looking for a place to call home. Looking for a few key things, like distance from nullsec and plenty of high sec boarder gates among others, I found Derelik. Derelik is an Ammatar Sovereign region belonging to the Ammatar Mandate. This region as direct access to two nullsec regions. Derelik is the solo empire connection for the faction space of Curse. Also, one of the four, but one of the most active, empire connections belonging to Providence. Curse is full of a mix of nullsec corps and alliances, none of them are very strong, and Providence is full of CVA and friends.  That gives the region of Derelik a good amount of both capital ship traffic and standard ship traffic making it a busy little region.

Today, I took a trip down to the region and found what i was expecting. The area had a few unallied pod pilots belonging to a hand full of corps that were “working” the systems. The pilots that were passing through belonged to a hand full of Curse alliances like Aggression, and CVA members. The rest were a hand full of low sec mission runners belonging to small unallied corps i have never heard of.

So, Derelik offers a good block of low sec space to roam, opportunity to hot drop capitals that are doing logistics for their nullsec alliances, and a good share of nullsec and high security gates to work off of. Not bad.. I have also looked and Molden Heath looks ripe for expansion later on. Molden Heath adds 2 more nullsec connections and only slightly fewer systems.

So 6 days left, i have to scout the area some more, put some info together that I can present to the corps I will be recruiting, actually recruit some corps, pick a name, start a holding corp, create a corp office, and start an alliance. No big deal right?
