About Me

Me at Fanfest 2008
Welcome to my blog, and thanks for stopping by!
This blog is something I write mainly for my own enjoyment. It’s an In Character Role Playing blog (for the most part), seen from the perspective of my character in EVE Online, Ancy Denaries.
When I’m not in EVE, I’m a 28 year old, swedish guy who works for the Swedish Police Force as an administrator.
My work schedule is erratic since it changes constantly. Due to that, I’m on EVE at very different times, but if I’m online and you have something to say, feel free to convo or evemail me.
So, some general Q&A then:
Q: Why EVE Online?
A: I ignored MMOs for the longest time, thinking it was just a waste of money. Eventually, I visited a friend that played World of Warcraft and he had me try it out for couple of hours. I created an undead warlock on a role playing server, and spent the whole evening roleplaying to my heart’s content. I was hooked from that day on.
It lasted for about 2 years before I was so bored with the game and miffed by Blizzard’s (or Vivendi’s) constant lore rape and introduction of retarded game mechanics (such as Battlegrounds and Arenas, killing world PvP in the process). When Burning Crusade Expansion was released, I felt it like a slap to my face that all my time spent raiding was suddenly useless. So, I packed my bags and turned my guild over to my first officer and bid WoW a not so fond farewell.
I’m not exactly sure how long it was before I joined EVE for a trial. I had glanced at EVE before WoW, but back then they either didn’t have free trial, or I couldn’t find it. I wasn’t really up for starting a game for real without knowing what I got myself in to.
Okay, this got kinda lengthy, sorry bout that.
Q: Okay fine, so you play EVE…big deal. Why blog about it?
A: For my own amusement, for the most part. But also to inspire others. Most of my PvP videos (available on EVE Files or YouTube) are also mainly for my own enjoyment. I enjoy making them, and videotaping my PvP gives me a unique opportunity to analyze my combat and learn from my mistakes.
This blog is simply about expressing myself creatively, and hoping that I’ll inspire others to enter PvP, or start writing something of their own or just enjoy what I am writing. So please, if you like it, or not, please leave a comment.
Q: So, you’re not a pirate? This some kind of carebear blog?
A: I’m not a pirate, no. Mainly because I don’t want to commit to that lifestyle. I do enjoy good combat, and I often roam in low sec and 0.0 to find fights. I end up getting blown up…a lot. But sometimes you come across these epic fights that make it all worth it. So while I am not a pirate, I try to stay in combat as much as I can.
Q: RP moar…this is kinda silly!
A: Well everyone can’t be role players of course, but I personally enjoy it a lot. Mainly because I’m interested in the human psyche and I like exploring different personalities and mindsets. Playing a different person gives me that opportunity. EVE even makes role playing very easy.
If you’re not here for the RP, then try to enjoy it as narratives of good fights ![]()
