Dissimulo Gero

August 7, 2009 in Bear noises by Darina Smirayne

What does Dissimulo Gero mean? Disguised bear! (As in “Carebear in disguise!”) Alright, I am not a whizz at latin, but I am a carebear and proud! I am a carebear with many disguises but I’ll discuss those at a later time…

My name is Darina. I’ve been a capsuleer for nearly four years, and I have enjoyed most of it. I’ve tried my hand at everything except piracy and capital ship operations, and frankly, there isn’t enough time in the day to do it all! :) Still, I have been training hard, and all capsuleers know the feeling when Aura tells you that 30 day skill has finally finished. (Then you slot another skill to learn, and then another… is this an addiction?) Perhaps it is time to share some of the knowledge I’ve learned?

I’ve read a few other capsuleer logs here and there, and they have inspired me to start my own. The best of the logs I’ve read are all included in this little collection of CrazyKinux’s: <EVE Blog Pack>.

I still don’t know what I am going to do with this log, but I guess it will serve as a journal. Something to give me a good laugh when I look back and see which ship I was podded by that week!

Recently, my corpmates in TransMiners and I have been working out of w-space. There has been plenty of research done by capsuleers already on the pros and cons of w-space, the best I’ve read by far comes from ArcDragon. But I’ve not seen anybody give a true account of the day to day living of it from the perspective of a carebear. I might give that a go. :) Speaking of which, I had better get back in there or I’ll have another 44 jumps to find it again when the wormhole collapses.
