Spreadsheet for T2 production

Spreadsheet for T2 production

Just a short blog for today.

I have been looking into T2 production recently, with the aim of eventually building some T2 ships.

In order to see just how much it would cost I built a spreadsheet, as I couldnt really find one to do what I wanted. This spreadsheet calculates the approximate cost for researching (to a set degree of certainty), and also calculate the approximate cost from materials. There is a library of components already in it, mostly caldari stuff.

I have included a link to this excel spreadsheet, hopefully it is useful :) !

If anyone finds a bug …. or just cant figure out how it works, let me know !

Humble Beginnings

by myas on May.17, 2009, under General Eve life

Hi there,

Upon beginning EVE it is quite easy to feel overwhelmed. The game doesn’t just throw you in the deep end; it ties weights to your legs just for good measure. I started EVE some six or so months ago, seeking an MMO that could hold my attention for longer than WoW.

I started out as a combat pilot ready for glory, in a Caldari station with an Ibis . After several tutorials were opened (and quickly closed) I went out in search of a simple level 1 mission.

Some 5 minutes later I found myself fitting another Ibis in a nearby space station. It was then that I began to realise that this game was going to take a very, very, very long time to get anywhere. Every single corner had trials for a new player to overcome, however as I journeyed deeper I began to realise the level of depth Eve actually had. It is easy to feel like a small fish in Eve, you are one player among many. Finding your place in the galaxy is a somewhat daunting task, but well worth the effort.

It was in my second week of playing that I was given the offer of running a mission together with another player. After reading the stories and warnings about pirates and scammers, I was initially reluctant to accept his proposal. But after a lengthy discussion (and many noobish questions :) ), I decided to accept. We ran a couple of missions and afterwards I was offered a place in this very small, somewhat secretive corporation.

I am still with this corporation today, and owe a lot to them all. EVE is a huge game, and it is easy to become one in a crowd. However, it seems to be this size which drives groups together, creating friendships which are far closer than in any other mmo.
