[OOC] No more trust fund…

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now and I have decided that my pvp alt will no longer be funded by Mel. I have developed a bad habit of throwing good ships into the grinder and getting almost nothing in return except loss mails because quite frankly, I don’t care anymore and I should. Given, in pvp you will lose ships and equipment and I’m ok with that. The problem is that I have taken for granted where all that isk is coming from and all the hard work I do to make it. It’s getting to the point where I’m having a hard time accomplishing the goals I have for Mel.

So with that, the alt will receive the last scheduled shipment of ships and equipment for this month and that will be it. I think I will throw a starter set of BPOs in so he can be sort of self sufficient for equipment and a ships. Sure it will only be basic T1 stuff but its better than nothing. If he needs isk… missions are ——> that way. Or get better at pvp. Maybe dip into a bit of piracy if need be. Or…. mining…

Sorry little alt… but you stand alone now… welcome to Eve…

W-Space Round 1

The arty cane did ok… but too many slots needed to maintain the passive shield tank. Especially in if another pilot stumbles upon me. Which reminds me… what happened to that Vaga that locked me up? He had me scramed but dropped it and I got away. Is it possible he was in range of the sleepers? Maybe… at least I killed the sleeper BS. The BS hits HARD. 850+ missile volleys and 200 – 300 laser hits. But if you keep your wits… its doable. The loot and salvage are interesting to say the least. Looks like I need to seriously consider a POS and start reverse engineering some of this stuff.  I decided to leave and get a heavier ship after BS went down. The Retribution did fine but the cap recharge rate is almost non-existant and if I have to run for it, I’d rather have cap to do it.

The Hammer did very well against the 4 sleeper cruisers. The incoming dmg wasn’t as bad as the BS but it came in more frequently and the dmg is spread across all 4 dmg types. Seems to be how all sleepers wpn systems are. My Hammers and Hobbies really tore into the sleepers. I need to confirm if it was due to dmg type (therm) or just RoF of the drones to a bigger target. I have changed my missile load to cataclsyms (therm) to see if they make a difference. Preliminary data indicates it will. A fellow pilot told me it doesn’t matter what ammo you use due to the omni tank the sleepers have. I don’t know about that but I have plenty of missile stock so I can try it. At worst they perform the same as the wrath missiles.  The Hammer’s tank held up well. I modified the setup slightly to rep dmg as opposed to resist it. And for the first time since I have owned the Hammer… I have insured it… I figure that unpredictable nature of W-space warrants it. She’s great ship and I’d hate to lose her but it makes me sad to see her sitting in the hanger unused. She’s a ship of war and I intend to use her as such. And if she goes down, this captain will go down with her or at least his clone will…
