Also, as a note, I noticed you use shields on your rifter. While most minmitar ships can go either way with thier tanks, I would advise that you lean towards armor as the ships I personally use (rifter, stabber, wolf) are all great armor tank ships.

Third on the certificate posts. I personally opted to train into tackling ASAP because I wanted to be able to jump into a nullsec alliance and you have to be either a tackler or a RR BS pilot to get into one of thems.
As for the ship, I fell in love with the dogfighting/tackler abilities [...]

Personally, I have always opted for fast, small, agile ships (Which, as a minmitar, is a GREAT choice!)
I would work on your speed tank and tackling skills, getting into an Inty ASAP. You won’t regret it at all.

Yeah, I feel the same wAy with minnies. But the feeling of, after a year or two, bong able to pilot nearly any frigate or cruiser effectively because you have a wide rang of support skills is nice. I think it’s something other races get robbed of, as thy focus in two or three areas [...]

I almost got popped by a battle badger a week or so ago. Was a little embarassing.
I might experiment with other Indy battle setups. My favorite thing about eve has always been the ability to take a ship meant for one thing and turn it into something completely different just because you can.
