So its begins… war…

The holders of Providence have decided that we need to expand. AAA has dropped a number of systems in catch. Couple of days ago the campaign to take systems in catch began. Right now i’m sitting on at gate in hostile space. Our orders is to let now one get thrugh this gate alive. A TCU is up and will be online in hours. A massive blue fleet of holders and pets are in place.

Update: We moved into HED and started to shoot at some station services. While this was going on the server crashed. We are now waiting to login again and continue this war.

Update: We moved back into HED after servercrash and are takeing the services down

Well this weekend has been a great pvp weekend for me. On Saturday i got my first final blow in a pvp fight and on sunday i got another final blow in a fight.

Harby & Drake:
Well i’ll start with the fight yesterday against a Harby and a Drake in misaba. I was sitting on the mamet gate in misaba waiting for a red to jump in. This red had been playing gategames for awhile and i wanted to wait for him on the other side to agress and kill him. When i’m sitting at the gate two neuts show up, one harby and one drake. This is nothing strange in providence / lowsec domain so i didnt think twice about it, but then both of them lock me and start scraming and shooting at me. I locked the harby and started to shoot at him. I called for backup on vent. My corp mate, Nishka was sitting on the other side waiting for the red so he jumped in and started to help me out. In the end of the fight i rememberd that i had forgotten to drop my drones on the harby so got my drones out and after that the harby went down even faster then before, this is not the first time i forget to drop the drones in a PVP fight.. i get all worked up =). Together we managed to kill the harby and the drake, i was in 70% structure when the fight was over but i got the final blow.
At the end we got help from both an alliance friend and three paxton ships, they helped us to take down the drake. [Harby kill] – [Drake kill]

This is the first fight i have been from the begining to the end in a small gang fight. I have been abit afraid of these kind of fights becouse i’m still missing some skills. I can’t use t2 laser for example, i can’t overheat anything yet aswell. Both the harby and the drake was t2 fitted so i’m proud that i got out alive from this fight and didnt run away or get killed. I didnt begin the fight but i made sure i ended it.

Mista fight:
Next fight was in Mista. We had some wartargets there that we where camping in station. During our station games they had a faction fitted crow flying around the station at like 300 km out. That crow was our main target, we wanted to kill it badly. So we layed a trap for him and i’m not going to tell how exacly we did it but we got one of our ceptors to land on him and tackle him. We warped our ships to the ceptor and dropped our drones on the ceptor. He was dead within a minut. Again we where a small gang with 5 or 6 ships and we didnt blob him with 30 ships.  The kill was worth about 200 mil, not to bad – [Crow kill] - Our stupid killboard doesnt show the right price for this ship but it was worth 200 mil.

Fight in Valmu:
Next fight was again in lowsec domain. In citadel i saw that someone needed some help in valmu couple of jumps away from R3 where i was. So i started to head there and as a jumped into the system after valmu i saw a red hurrican attacking a blue assault frigate. I waited for him to agress me so that i could take up the fight without the gateguns killing me and he locked me up and started to fire. So i lock him up and start firing my lasers at him and droping my warrior II drones on his ass. He died quickly and yet again i got the final blow Me and the assault frigate pilot where sorting the loot from the wreck when 3 atlas guys came form nowhere and started to attack us. This time it was a battleships and some other heavy ships so i was thinking that i should redraw from this and get out while i could. But on the other hand i didnt want to leave the other 2 blues at the gate and let the atlas guys kill them without a fight. One of the blues went down pretty fast and now i was primary and i was going down fast aswell. It was a good fight but we should have left while we could becouse we had no chance. But in the face of a battle i’m not the one that runs away. I got one kill and i lost another so i guess it was worth it anway. [Hurrican kill] – [My harby loss]

Well its done… i moved my main and my alt to the new corp we created some days ago. We are allready 13 ppl in the corp and are growing fast. We hope that many in the old alliance will come and join us in the new corp. The new corp has entered the Core Factor alliance in providence. It seems to be an active alliance and i like it.

How about kills then? Well its been a very slow 14 days now with no kills. I’m looking everywhere for reds to kill but Providence has been very calm latly. Well we got reds but they come in big blobs and there is no use in attacking them and die. Another problem is the ratting right now.. there is allmost no rats in the belts right now. Someone hasnt been chaining the belts like they should had. At least we are going to have PVP contest on suturday. Its a last man standing game and the winner gets a battleships of choice. Me and Rin are going to join the contest. You will only be allowed to use ships upto T1 cruisers. Both be and Rin are going with a classic stabber PVP fit. Its fast and its good

Well this has been a great week for me. In the begining of the week I contaced a player from another alliance(Core Factor) that had been very active and talked to him about joining there fleets. Via this guy iIve been invited to fleets and new intel channels in prov that froms defence fleets. This has been a great way for me to get more pvp action. Couple of days ago I got my first final blow, a pod Me and some guys from CF helped out another fleet that was attacked by a large red fleet. It was allmost a suicede run but in the end we came out alive and we had manged to scare of that red fleet, well Harry lost his drake in the fight. One of these guys docked at a station in Mamet to get a new ship. We waited outside and then he undocked and we popped his ship. I got hold of his pod and killed it. The station guns where after me so I warped out to a gate at first…I dont know why I did that becouse I got hit by gateguns aswell, guess it was a panic thing I did  I was deep into armor and I warped out to a planet to rep and wait out my GCT and agression timer. After this I was also invited to a more private CF chat / intel channel. I got some great connections via this fight and it was all becouse I contaced this Harry in CF.

Then tonight I got x:ed up in a new fleet and we head to Mamet and waited for a red incoming fleet. They came aright.. at least 7 battleships and then a carrier came in. The carrier was called primary and I focused all my fire on that one. Soon it was going down. Then I helped out with at least 3 other battleships but the rest got away. In total we where 3 pilots from TSC that joined this battle. This was a great fight! We held out while waiting for more blues to come and back us up. At the end i think it was 5 or 6 maybe more blue carriers that backed us up. After this fight I went back to Core Factors pos in Mamet to wait out my GCT.  Here is the link to the killboard. My stats are really getting better. I’m still minus total on the killboard becouse of some losses i’ve done  But now my killratio is 3:1 at least

After a while me and Rin headed back to x6ab and start some ratting. After a while a call for a new defence fleet came and I x:ed up again and we was heading to D-G. This time we didnt catch up with the red fleet so we put the fleet on sandby in I7S. After a while it got to late for me so I logged off.

As I said… its been a great week and i’m getting alot of pvp traning. I have also lost a couple of ships but its worth it.

In other news.. Lord DarkBear can now fly a fully fitted Hulk. I think i’m going to move him down to the providence area soon. Now when his mining skills are ready I can start traning more combat skills. Lord DarkBear is a caldari so I will train him to be able to use both a Ferox BC with good fittings and then i’m going to train him to use a Raven. Also.. i’ve been hearing that in winter we might have to fight for Providence for real. AAA and some other alliances might be planing on getting rid of CVA and Paxton in the Providence area. The new Sov changes will probly spark a wave of wars in nullsec.

Late last night me and some alliance friends trained pvp fighting in Providence. We where at a safespot and trying out diffrent fitting for PVP. I was AFK for a minut or so and when i came back to the computer i see 3 reds in the system. They where from U’K and where passing the system. We decide to follow them and after hunting them for a couple of systems they where ready to take us on. We jumped to the X6AB gate and a scout told us that they had there drones out and everything. It was two HAC Vagabond and one Force Recon Pilgrim.

I was flying my Domi and my alliances friends was flying a assault frig and a Broadsword. Soon we where joined by other friendlys that wanted in on this fight. Pretty fast they took out the assault frig and after that they went for my Domi. My Domi isnt that well fitted yet so they did a pretty short work of me. They didnt try to take on the Broadsword at all. Short after i lost my ship they left. So they got away.

The lost of the Domi for me was no problem at all. This was my first real PVP fight and i  knew that i  might lose the ship. The ship was insured and i think that all in all i lost about 30 mil and it was worth every penny of it. It is the only way that you can lern. So what did we lern from this fight? Our 3 man gang wasnt that orginized. I was the FC and i wasnt really in total control in this fight. We need to get better at chooseing what target to attack and what our roles in the fight should be.

I also got an advice from a much older player then me and that was to stay out of the Battleship until i can fitt it real good. In that he is right. If i’m going to fly the domi i need to get my sentri drones skill up and the energy emission skill up to lvl 4 so that i can use heavy neuts to kill caps.  I’m going to post some ingame screenshoots later.

In the alliance we do alot hunting for reds in southern Providence. Tonight we did yet another of our patrol in a small gang. The southern Providence has been pretty quiet the last week. Many of my alliance buddies want to take part in some pvp action at least. Somehow allways when we are out in providence to do our part to defend providence there seems to be no reds to kill. Most of them sit for hours / days cloaked up in systems. If i got cought like that i might try to hide for a while but after that i would fight my way out or die trying..

Did some ratting aswell tonight and made allmost 20 mil on ratting alone. There are many good ways of making good isk in Providence. Been livning in Providence for allmost a month now and i really like it. The life of mining and missionrunning in highsec wasnt my thing in the long run.

Today I got my new computer! At last i was going to see how EVE looks like with a good GFX card. And of course its alot more fun playing the game on a computer that can handle the graphics on the highest settings and still have no problem with computer lagg. Soon I will connect my 2nd monitor so that i can play both my accounts at the same time.

So… what happend ingame tonight then? Well i did alot of shoping.. i bought all in all 30 small rigs and a couple of medium as well for my fleet of frigs and cruisers. I’ve also planned the skill so that in 2 days i can fly both amarr BC and mimatar BC. The Hurrican is a much loved ship on forums and on battleclinic. I think i can put together a nice mixed t1 / t2 hurrican for PVP.

So i guess not so much action today.. i couldnt go back to providence becouse there was a big red fleet between Tash / domain and Providence. It would be more or less a sucide to try to get in there tonight so i will wait until tomorrow to bring down my updated omen with riggs that really looks good with my new GFX card

I got another toon called Lord DarkBear. His my mining toon and only has 19 days left to a Hulk. I’ve been thinking about what I should train to after the hulk. After some tought I decided that I will go for a Carrier. With some reprograming and learning skill traning I will be albe to fly a carrier in 186 days and that includes the supportskills. Its about 6 months from now.

Why train to Carrier? Well TSC needs capital pilots and I it also fitts our smaller alliance approach. A Carrier can be very usefull in nullsec / lowsec areas.

Edit: After talking to Old about it I might go for Black Ops instead. Traning to Black Ops will take me on the path to a carrier aswell. So Black Ops it is.

• Ratting (Bountys upto and over 1 milion per ship)
• Mining – If you got a couple of hulks and someone to watch your back you could be mining
• Wormholes – You could scan out wormholes and rat / mine in there.. could be fun
• PVP – Well our alliance help with the defence of Providence.. we roam in small fleets and take on anyone red we can find. Most of the times there is alot of solo reds flying around that you could take on if you dare.
• Affect the game – Nullsec is created by players.. here is no empires or concord.. you deside what happens. Take part in the powerstruggle and fight for your side in big fleets or in small gangs. Own your station or system..defend it form enemys.. build alliances

There are as you see alot of things to do in Providence…dont get stuck in highsec running mission and mining all your time on EVE..it will be a waste of time in the end. Lowsec and nullsec is what this game is all about. You havent played EVE to max until you stop being a carebear and left highsec behind you.
