Battle Report – Yong – Planet 6 Belt 1

So this was the biggest capfight i have been in. I dont know the total numbers on the enemey capfleet on field but i know we had at least 17 red carriers. It started with the enemy dropping 14 carriers on CVA friends in belt 6-1 in Yong. So what does CVA & friends do? They drop an even bigger cap fleet on them, alot of carriers and dreads.

When the fight began i was in my harbie but i ran off to mamet to reship to my mega instead to get some more damnge on the caps. When the smoke cleared 17 red carriers was dead. I dont know how many blues that died in this fight but our alliance did not have any losses at all. I know that CVA & friends had some losses thoe. In total there was some 100 caps on the field and 75 – 80 off them was blue.

So the lesson here is…do not drop caps on CVA friends… CVA & friends has a sh*tload of caps just waiting to kick your butt :)

Some screenshoots after the fight.. on the capfleet.

Battle Report from Providence and Catch

Well as i said in my last post the war has come to providence. LFA has claimed a number off systems in catch and we are helping them in the effort of keeping them. The current status is as follows.

LFA is holdning f9e, wd and 9koe

AAA took SV5 last night

We did what we could to hold on to SV5 but AAA had 650 ppl in SV5 and to jump in another 600 – 700 ppl in that system would be sucide. The call was made to let SV5 fall for now and i’m sure we will be back in SV5 very soon. Right now every 0.0 alliance that trys to take space or defend their space with large numbers off ppl suffers the same problem.. lag and that the grid wont load.

Our alliance Core Factor has been involved in almost all the fightings and has so far over 180 kills in catch alone from this war. Our alliance members has stepped up and been taking command in the fleets. Its a great time to get better at fleet fights and to get noticed by others. I’m looking forward to another weekend of large scale pvp in this area.

After the patch the carebearing in provi almost got worse then before the patch and it feels good that we have some pew pew to do instead of boring rats, mining or plexes or those cloaky U’K guys hiding everywhere.

I will keep u updated on the progress.

Update and news

It has happened alot recently. There has been much PvP action. I have fun but have lost one or two ships, but also has been involved in the death of one or two ships. I’ve also been part of a  POS takedown by CVA, it was an interesting but very boring task. I was also part of a CVA fleet that was slaughtered by a AAA fleet in Catch. We where 140 and they came with 200+ ships and killed us.

It has happened quite a few things in the alliance. I have been promoted to working with all matters relating to PVP with Harry. Although I am fairly new at this game but I have got my experience from RL and seems to work pretty well in that role. Me and Harry, has a similar approach to how to manage our fleets and howto deal the enemy most harm.

Me and Harry are going put together a guide to how to behave as FC and as member of a Core Factor fleet. In this way we hope to work better as a fleet and to kill more enemys and lose less ships on our side. Core Factor was wardecced by another corp yesterday and the fighting will start today.

Our visit to Syndicate

Well last night we went to visit some friends of Core Factor in the Old Man Star. Well one thing lead to another and we went to Syndicate. Allmost right away when we entered Syndicate the reds where after us. They tryed to block us in but we got deeper into Syndicate. The new destination was AAA space right next door to Syndicate. What we didnt know was that we where heading right into a trap set by reds in Syndicate. Our fleet of 15 frigs/hacs and stealtbombers ran into a massive gatecamp and some of us died and some of us got lost. I got lost and seperated from the fleet by a misstake of my squad commander. This things happens in intensive situations. Instead of just logging i decided that i should go out in flames. So i pointed my ship into the gatecamp and died fighting :)   By doing that i didnt have to travel the 30 jumps back into providence :) Some of our fleet made it out alive in pods or in ships.

It was a fun night and this was my first visit to another 0.0 space besides Providence and Catch. Nishka (my corpmate) has spent alot of time in Syndicate and had no problem getting himself and my other corpmate back home to Provide without a scratch, i was impresed :)

How about the alliance and corp then? Well more problems. We created this new corp and entered Core Factor becouse we wanted to get all active players from TSC into one corp and then join a new alliance. The CEO of the leading corp in TSC came back last night and all got messed up. So now it looks like we are going back to CIW and then rejoin Core Factor with CIW instead. Well i’m waiting for the answers of my corpmates to see if they want to merge back with CIW or not.

Tonight is the alliance contest. I dont know yet what to bring. The choice i have is a Stabber, Rifter or a thrasher. The rifter and the thrasher i can fitt with t2 guns but not the stabber.

Another week in Providence

Well its been another great week in providence. My traning to assault frigate goes on and i got 14 days left. I’ve been flying alot with Core Factor this week also. We havent got into any really great fights. We chased a Tri gang all the way from Misaba to T-R where we together with LFA destroyed 3 out of 4 ships. I didnt get any part of it but some other in our fleet did. Harry Eyeball was great FC. The Tri gang used vagas and tryed to get us to spread out to kill us one bye one but Harry did a great job of keeping us together and they didnt get any of us.

We got abit backstabbed by LFA and Paxton aswell. We noticed a big blue fleet getting into F9E in D-G. So together with other blues we staid at the F9E gate in D-G to trap reds. Well the reds came aright.. a 30 – 40 man tri fleet jumped in and cought us. LFA and Paxton ran off and left us there to die, at least i got my pod out in time. They didnt even warn us about it so we could get out in time. But what i hear this is the way LFA and Paxton do.

We also went into catch in chase of a bs fleet last night. We went into one emty system after another but we didnt find the bs fleet so we jumpend into Providence again on the kari pipe side. There we found a couple of pirates attacking ships so we went after them and chased them away. No kills this week :( But i guess we do a good work becouse the Mista -> Mamet pipe is allmost allways clear now and we got alot less reds in providence then before.

In other news.. The Security Council alliance will probly split. One corp will join Core Factor. I’ve asked around and we are about 8 – 9 players that wants to stay in Providence and join Core Factor instead. We could joins as members in a member corp but we talked about it and we wanted to join as a corp instead. We have been flying together for a while now and we know how we work. CF says they are ready to let us join right away if we want to.

The EVE Personality test

I did the EVE personality test and here are the result:
Industrialist with teeth
Industrialist with teeth

I must say that this is true about me. I like both the mining, building and at the same time enjoy PVP when I feel for it and need to. I don’t run away from a fight.
In other news, i lost another ship.. again :) This time I lost a hurrican. Well me and the gang(3 ships) where headed home after a boring patrol in Providence. On the way back we cought up with a red domi. Nishka started the attack and we  followed. We got the domi into 50% armor but we just didnt have the DPS to take it down. Then we lost Nishkas broadsword and that was it for us. After that the domi took out our  two BC’s aswell. It was a good fight but we shouldnt had attacked in the first place. We where tired and we just didnt have the dps to take it down. If it was a bad fitted and unskilled domi pilot we could take it but this wasnt a bad fitted domi with a unskilled domi pilot :) Well you learn everyday and we  went home in a pod :)

Update: So what did we learn from this fight?

  1. Don’t pick a fight when you are on your way home and are tired
  2. Define your roles in the gang.
  3. Don’t pick on targets that you don’t have the dps to take down

Wormhole Operation

Some nights ago me and some alliance friends went on a wormhole operation. This was the first time for me. It was a ratting / mining operation so we brougt a retriver and a hulk with us. The rest was battlecruisers, stealthbombers a HIC and a assault frig. I went in a Harbinger battlecruiser and my corpmate Rianna went in a Hurrican. It took some time to get everyone to the first system where the wormhole was. Both me and Rin was in Providence so we had 12 – 13 jump trip before we could join up with our fleet. In all we was 8 ships.

We went into the wormhole with the stealthbombers as souts. In the first wormhole we did not find any hostiles so we all went in and got our self to a safespot that Velvet had created for us. In this wormhole we could scan out a POS and a number of emty ships. We where contaced in local by someone who wanted to know if we where hostiles or not. As most of us are 0.0 players we allmost never answers in local. After a while we went to a belt where we dropped off our miners. Velvet left an alt with a covertops ships as guard for our miners and we where all ready to jump in if anyone tryed to attack them. A stray rifter pilot came into the belt at one point to check us out. He contacted our alliance diplomat that was in our fleet and asked who we where and stuff. For some reason our 8 ship strong fleet with BC’s a HIC and couple of SB’s had scared them alot. We told then we where just out to have some fun.. pop sleepers and mine some.

The ratting begins – Well pretty fast Velvet had scanned down some sleepers. We went in and found rats with BC’s and frigs. I must say i was abit chocked when on hit allmost took out my entire shield. But soon we where on the winning side and killed them. It took a couple of warp outs before we had killed them. At the first wormhole we had no one with salvage modules so we could only take the loot. The loot wasnt anything special :( As the wormhole was getting more unstable we decided that i was time for us to leave and start scanning for a 2nd wormhole. We got our mining ships out and we started to scan for a new wormhole. We where lucky.. we found a 2nd wormhole that looked very nice. This time it was ratting only and we also picked up salvage modules.

The 2nd wormhole – This wormhole was abit more fun. The sleepers that came at us this time was at first, one battleship. By now we had started to figure out how to take this sleepers down. The danger is the torrents.. they lock you allready at 150km range and they start doing some real damange around 50 – 60 km. I went in with my harbinger up close to the battleship and used my webb to get its speed down and i started to open fire with my pulselasers. After we had managed to take out the battleship there was a big BC’s spawn and if you have been in wormholes your know that they are fast and do alot more damange then any other BC’s rat does in this game. So we got out of there. After some repairing of my armor i was ready to go back in and help take out those BC’s. As we killed the last BC’s, two large battleship spawned. We got out of there in the last second. But we took them down aswell.

This was a very fun op and we will do this again..
